When to use:
Follow these instructions to set up your voicemail and check voicemail messages in Genesys.
Steps to set up your voicemail:
Step 1: Select the call icon in the left-hand navigation menu.
Step 2: Dial *86 and press the green phone icon at the bottom of the dial pad.
Step 3: Follow the voice prompts to record your greeting.
Voicemail scripts:
Business voicemail:
Hello, you have reached [NAME], Senior LinkAge Line [TITLE]. I am currently on another call or away from my desk. Please leave your name and number, and I will return your call within one business day. If you would like to speak with someone else, please hang up and call the Senior LinkAge Line at 800-333-2433. Thank you.
Out of office voicemail:
Hello, you have reached [NAME], Senior LinkAge Line [TITLE]. I am currently out of the office and will return [DATE]. If you would like to speak with someone else, please hang up and call the Senior LinkAge Line at 800- 333-2433. If you choose to leave a message, I will respond to your voicemail when I return. Thank you.
Checking voicemail:
When someone leaves you a voicemail, you will receive an email from "Genesys Cloud Voicemail" with a .wav file of the voicemail along with basic information including the number the voicemail is from, the date it was received, and the duration of the message.
Additionally, you will see a red dot above the inbox icon in the left navigation menu and a red dot above the voicemail symbol. New voicemail messages will appear in red. To listen to the message, click on it and select the play option that appears under it.
You may forward the message to another user in the system by selecting the arrow pointing to the right and typing in another user's name.
