When to use:
Providers and people in the community can make referrals to the Senior LinkAge Line with the person’s consent using the secure online referral website. Each referral is triaged to the appropriate contact center for follow-up.

Troubleshooting:
If a provider is having technical difficulties when trying to submit a referral, you should assist the provider with troubleshooting. If it is a PAS or LOC referral you can transfer the person to the PAS queue to be assisted by PAS staff or direct them to the chat on the online referral website.
- The online referral site is compatible with newer versions of several commonly used Web browsers, recommend using Edge or Google Chrome
- Hospitals experiencing technical difficulties can also work with the nursing facilities to submit a preadmission screening in the rare situations where the hospital cannot.
- If the issue appears to be consistently happening with multiple providers, have a supervisor submit a support request with the priority escalated to urgent and include an explanation of the concern.
- The MBA Senior LinkAge Line team may approve a delayed submission and allow staff to backdate the screening depending on the situation.
Chat:
Users of the online referral site can chat into the Senior LinkAge Line, these chats go to PAS specialists. Common chats include, requesting a copy of a PAS, updating a value on an already submitted PAS, help navigating the referral website, etc. If a person wants to use the chat to asl about community resources, they should be directed to the chat on the Senior LinkAge Line website. If someone chats into the online referral site by mistake, and needs help finding community resources, PAS staff will transfer the chat to the Chat Senior LinkAge Line website queue.
